How do i book?


Please contact me to confirm whether your preferred date is available and to book in for portrait planning session to discuss your requirements, get to know you a little better, discuss locations, clothing choices etc. To confirm your preferred date, payment of your session fee together with your signed portrait photography booking & agreement form are required.


How do I book my wedding photography?


Please contact me to confirm whether your preferred date is available and to discuss the requirements for your special day. I will then be able to email a wedding information pack to you.


To secure your wedding date, payment of the $950 booking fee together with your completed wedding photography booking agreement and signed contract are required. Your wedding booking is not confirmed until these have been received. In the event of cancellation, please note that the booking fee is non-refundable. If you are not paying in full at the time of booking, the final balance is payable one month prior to your wedding date.


How much do you charge for your services?

When and how will my portraits be available for viewing?


Peta will contact you to schedule your portrait viewing session for within two weeks of your photo shoot.


During the time from your photo shoot to your portrait viewing session, Peta spends many hours proofing and professionally finishing a selection of images from your portrait session.


At your portrait viewing session, you will be shown a selection of professionally finished images from your portrait session, during which time you will select your favourites and Peta will assist you in deciding how best to present the portraits in your home.


All order must be finalised and paid for at the portrait viewing session.


What payment options do you offer?


For your convenience, Peta Horsten Photography accepts visa, mastercard, cash or electronic funds transfer. A flexible direct debit layby is also available upon request. The transaction currency is Australian Dollar.


Are the details I provide on your website secure?


All credit card details and personal information is transmitted using 128 Bit Secure Server Software (SSL), the latest industry standard encryption, to protect the loss, misuse or alteration of your credit card information under my control. In the same way that department stores use EFTPOS terminals to process credit card transactions, Peta Horsten Photography uses Westpac Bank’s secure payment system to process credit card payments via the EFTPOS system.


Do you offer gift certificates?


Yes, beautifully personalised gift certificates are available and make a wonderful gift for any special occasions or for that special someone. Gift certificates can be used towards session fees or portrait orders. Gift certificates are available for purchase through the Online Store, or please contact me to discuss your requirements.


When can I expect to receive my order?


Once you have finalised and paid for your order in full, the timeframe for collection will range between four to eight weeks depending on what you have ordered.  One average, collection is typically within six weeks. Peta will contact you to advise when you order will be ready for collection. If your order cannot be delivered within the anticipated timeframe, you will be contacted within five business days of the order being placed.


How much do you charge for postage and handling?


A minimum $15 postage and handling fee applies to all requests for images to be posted, which covers the cost of packaging and registered post. Please contact me for more accurate pricing as it depends on the size, weight and dimension of the items you wish to be posted and whether insurance is required. Postage costs are determined by current Australia Post rates, but typically range from $15-$200 for items sent to an address within Australia.


Do you offer refunds?


Please make your selection carefully as Peta Horsten Photography’s products and work are custom made, therefore there is strictly no refunds.


What happens if the product I have ordered is damaged or faulty?


Peta carefully inspects all orders prior to you being advised that your order is ready for collection. At the time of collection, you are given the opportunity to inspect your order, prior to signing your order acceptance. In the rare instance on further inspection, your product is deemed to be faulty, Peta Horsten Photography will gladly organise a replacement.


What is your cancellation policy?


Your portrait session fee is due at the time of booking to secure your preferred session date and is non-refundable. However, it can be transferred to another available date with 14 days notice. Cancellations within 14 days are transferrable at Peta Horsten Photography’s discretion and determined by Peta’s availability.


In the event that your child is sick, please call to reschedule as better results will be achieved when everyone is feeling their best. Although 48 hours notice for rescheduling is appreciated, Peta understands that sudden illnesses do arise and cannot be avoided.


If you need to cancel your portrait session and will not be rescheduling to a later date, please note that the session fee is non-refundable.


For weddings, please refer to your contract for all terms and conditions.


How long do you keep images for?


As I am sure you can imagine, Peta Horsten Photography takes thousands of images and these images are taken in the highest format available to ensure optimum quality images. With the huge amount of space that these images take up it is not possible to retain images for extended periods of time.


That being said, portrait images are stored for a period of three months after your viewing session has taken place, after which time any images that have not been ordered are destroyed. If you wish to have an additional viewing session prior to the three months, an $85 archival fee will apply and is payable at the time of the archive retrieval request.


If you do not attend a portrait viewing session, finalise your portrait order and make payment within two to four weeks of the portrait session, then the images may be deleted and Peta Horsten Photography is under no obligation to store or archive the images.


Wedding images are archived for a period of five years after which time Peta Horsten Photography. After which time, Peta Horsten Photography may offer for the bride and groom to purchase the digital negatives for a nominal fee. In the event that Peta Horsten Photography is not able to reach the bride and groom for any reason, Peta Horsten Photography is under no further obligation and the images will be destroyed.  Please refer to the terms and conditions outlined in your wedding contract for further information.


What is your copyright policy?


Peta Horsten Photography retains copyright and ownership of all images, and reserves the right to use any mages in any form such as, but not limited to the use in advertising, reproduction and copyright. All images are digital files are protected by Australian and International Copyright Laws and remain the property of Peta Horsten Photography. It is illegal to copy, alter,, publish, download, screen capture, screen grab or reproduce images produced by Peta Horsten Photography (whether purchased or not) without the prior written approval of Peta Horsten Photography. All clients must sign a model release form prior to their session.


What is your privacy policy?


Peta Horsten Photography will only provide your personal details to a third party, as required, in order to fulfil your order. For no other reason, will Peta Horsten Photography disclose or sell any of your personal information to a third party without your consent, unless required by law to do so. Peta Horsten Photography will take all reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss or from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. You may have access to your personal information on request.
